Mason Stewart – Horn Player, Teacher, Technician

Develop a resonant tone, efficient technique, and a love for music—wherever you are on your horn journey.

About Mason

Mason Stewart is a Cincinnati-based horn player, teacher, and instrument technician who blends vibrant performance with a passion for helping students play smarter, not harder. He currently serves as a section horn with Colorado Mahlerfest and has performed with orchestras such as the Baton Rouge Symphony, Kentucky Symphony, and Louisiana Philharmonic.

Summer appearances have taken him to the Brevard Music Center, Interharmony International Music Festival, and Bay View Music Festival, experiences that continue to inform his energetic, collaborative approach both onstage and in the studio.

Mason’s training at the University of Cincinnati’s College-Conservatory of Music and Northern Kentucky University—alongside mentorship from top orchestral players—fuels his lesson philosophy: teach efficiency, intentional practice, and healthy mechanics from day one. Whether guiding beginners through their first notes, coaching advanced students for auditions, or giving a horn a precision valve alignment through his Stewart Hornworks shop, Mason equips players with clear tools to sound their best and enjoy every step of the journey.
